Mark Walker has practiced and taught extensively. He graduated in 1975 and had early successes entering internationally recognised architectural competitions whilst working in prestigious London practices. Since 1992 he has lived and worked in Scotland and founded Walker Architecture in 2000.
Teaching and now research have always been an interest and are in balance with his practice. The generation of memorable architectural ideas that are at the heart of all successful projects, as well as the relationship of buildings and rural landscapes, are central to his work and teaching. He has taught at the Architectural Association in London as well as Strathclyde, Aberdeen, and Dundee Universities, and is currently teaching at the Edinburgh College of Art.
